I saw your posting online. My name is Carl Jefferson Lopez and I'm the Marketing Director for Altonka Language School in Banilad, Cebu City. We offer TESOL Certification Courses for both local and foreign students. We are on the look-out for an Assistant Trainer at our school and I am wondering if you are interested. If you are, please reply to this email and include your CV and contact details.
Thank you.

You see, employers hire people based on 2 questions: 1. Is this person going to be useful to the company? 2. How much profit can the company make out of this new employee?
Our country has been known all over the world for 1 thing: cheap labor.
Outsourcers didn't come here because we speak good English or because we are polite or because we are technically adept. Let's face it: they come here because they can make more profits out of our cheap labor.
I'd say our country's economy has survived because of our cheap labor.
Now that the outsourcers / BPOs / call centers are here, I think it's time we slowly try to turn the table around....
So here's my reply:
Hi Carl:
Thanks for you interest in me.
I’d love to help you out in your school, but let me show you my daily schedule first:
I manage a group of language and non language tutors from the UP-Cebu College. We handle high school and elementary students, mostly students from an exclusive School for Boys in Lahug. I am also currently engaged with AXA Philippines. All these I do in the mornings.
My afternoons are for a British telecommunications company, from 3:00 pm-12:00 midnight.
I may be able to spare 2 hours daily for your school, but it should be between 6:00 am and 2:00 pm. I'd be happy to receive only P500 per hour as your part time trainer.
Or I can drop my afternoon shift in exchange for your school for a guaranteed 1 year contract of P30, 000.00 per month excluding overtime pay and other fringe benefits.
In case you find my offer favorable, please call or email me.
I have attached my resume.
Thanks so much for your time.
God bless and more power to you…
Sincerely
Cirilo P. Cena
I think Carl will never contact me again. But I've made a point.
Three days later, Carl replied and arranged to talk with me in his office.

Cirilo:
Thank you for the reply. If you can drop by the school this week, we would be happy to talk to you. If you can’t, we have a job fair at SM on the 23rd ‘til the 24th.
Carl
Perhaps Carl is not looking for cheap labor after all....
