My Son’s Faith
I was moved by my son’s faith.
Last night he prayed:
Jesus, please give my father a better job,
I was moved by my son’s faith.

Jesus, please give my father a better job,
one that keeps him home at night so he can sleep beside me.
Jesus, please make us healthy. Please give us food to eat everyday…
Also, please make me understand my lessons at school…
And finally please give us a beautiful car and a big house too….
Amen…
I was surprised with the last part. I thought I needed to give my son a little education on prayers. I told him God may not give us a big house and a beautiful car since these are things that will make us depart from sacrifice and poverty. If God will ever give us the house and the car, it may take several years, maybe 10 or more.
But my son replied: “No, Jesus will give us the car and the house in 4 years.”
So, I had to ask him: “What makes you so sure He will give it to us in 4 years?”
He replied: “It was 2004 when I started asking Jesus for a little brother, He gave me a little brother last year.”
We were blessed with a second son in 2008, but he had to go back straight to heaven.
