The island of Cebu is perfect if you want to enjoy the tropical beaches at the least cost. Cebu is surrounded by beautiful beaches and is the safest island in the Philippines. There's no heavy traffic and smog here. You can get around the island by jeepney or motorcycle. Getting a jeepney is not a problem since jeepneys are everywhere here. An air-conditioned room here is at $15-$43. If you carry around a laptop, you can get a USB internet device for $22 and stay connected at 1mbps for only $1 every 2 hours. A cozy room in a resort is around $35-$43. If you just want a swim, entrance to the beautiful resorts is just around $3-$4. Meals cost around $1-$6. If you want a comfortable tour, my friend can contract his father's van for only $43 a day or $53 a day if you want a friendly and educated female tour guide to come with it. Of course, you can always just get a dependable buddy for the tour.
